Shoot Dragon Gate
The classic Dragon Gate (In-Between) card game, with a built-in real-time probability panel. Free on iPhone & iPad. Solo with 20 AI personas or 2–8 player pass-the-phone party mode.
Rules
Two gate cards are dealt face-up. You commit points, then a third card flips between them. Where the middle card lands decides the round.
- PASS — middle lands strictly between the gates → you win your commit (+commit).
- HIT POST — middle matches a gate → 2× penalty (−2× commit).
- OUT — middle is outside the gate range → you lose your commit (−commit).
- PASS ROUND — opt out of the round for a small base fee (−base).
Flow
Each round runs the same five-step loop. The pool is shared — wins come out of it, losses feed it.
- Stake the pool — every player drops a base stake into the shared pool.
- Flip two gates — the dealer turns two cards face-up as left and right gates.
- Decide your commit — commit anywhere from 1 point up to the entire pool (all-in).
- Reveal the middle — flip the third card; PASS takes from the pool, OUT / HIT POST feeds it.
- Pass the deck — next player deals; loop until the pool empties.
Special cases: pair gates (same rank → bet HI or LO, triplet costs 3×), dead gates (adjacent ranks have no winnable middle), and pool refills when the pool empties.
